Synopsis
Once there were these Air Force soldiers who followed the National Government of the ROC to Taiwan. As time goes on, they have been forgotten. With the fact that their brothers in arms pass away one after another and with the implementation of urban planning, where do they go from here? Who will be there to stand for their rights? Let us take a look at this neglected story.
Director Statement
After meeting a student from National Cheng Kung University whose graduation project focused on the renovation of the veteran dormitory in ShueiJiaoShe, I decided to make this documentary. Having discussed and visited the site with her, I realized the poor living environment there. Let us dive into its history: the residents here used to served in the Air Force and came to Taiwan alongside the Nationalist government. As time goes on, they are being forgotten. With the fact that their brothers in arms pass away one after another and the implementation of urban planning, where do they go from here? Who will be there to stand for their rights? I thus determined to film this neglected history.
