Synopsis

Chinese title "Tzuo Kung", meaning an action(Silk Road Journey) opening up an uncultivated land back to Chinese history, B.C. 200; and it also means excavation, to dig out what is buried or inside.

The video camera follows along the metro construction site to write the Taipei city scenery, fences front the sites keep moving around, traffic then have their detour. The constructions are destroyed, then new construction, all is for pursuit for speed, chasing after being within globalization, the future of the city is decided. However, in this rapid replacing process, people, events, materials confrontation on streets are soon out of focus, everything is becoming into background, what is left only the will of this city, and its persistence on changing, only "Detour" signs left on fences sprawling there and everywhere.
