Lin Cheng-sheng and his wife Ke Shu-ching originally bought a piece of land in Li Shan. They planned to build an orchard and make money. After one year, they were bankrupt because the restriction of the imported apples was canceled. But they made a documentary based on the life experience in Li Shan.

There is no dramatic plot in this film, just the seasonal changes and the daily agricultural routines in Li Shan which leave marks in the times. Other than the Lin couple, there are some friends with different backgrounds coming here planting fruit trees and trying to make a living. They are veterans or well-educated people who chose to live in the mountains.

Each character has different personalities yet they love together harmoniously. The director uses traditional realistic approach to complete a simplistic and moving work.
