On July 3rd, 2011, it is a prominent highlight of Taiwan football history. 15,335 spectators swarmed into Taipei Municipal Stadium to witness the debut of Belgian-born Taiwanese footballer Xavier Chen - his first match on behalf of Taiwan. It was a miraculous night imprinted in everyone’s hearts.

He pondered on his identity as a Taiwanese child and decided to play his last career game at Taipei Municipal Stadium. Before the match, Xavier’s leg injury recurred thus missed out on the pre-game training. Xavier carried collective expectation to the match. Despite the pain, he faced the formidable opponent Bahrain unshakably.
