" It's been a while since I last had that same nightmare. I dreamed about my high school teacher leading a mob to my apartment. I was all alone, and frightened. The sounds of footsteps were getting closer. I was hiding at the corner of my bathroom. All of a sudden, I felt great pain in my face. As I tried to touch my chin, my teeth fell off one by one all over the floor. I tried to get out of the room for help..."

A young man looks back on his adolescent days when he was repeatedly tortured by his junior high school teacher. As he wonders about his lost opportunity to find out whether he could become a more creative and courageous man, he also reflects upon the culture that endorses systematic verbal and physical abuse against children.
