Within a short period of time over the course of a few years, ten foreign brides married into the little village of Wan Ton in the Chung-Pun Area of Chia-Yi County. The once peaceful and quiet little village became alive suddenly. Lin, Min and Bon have come from lndonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The women have carried pregnancies, given birth, taken care of the housekeeping as well as farming ever since a very young age. They nurse the babies and try to teach them how to walk on the bumpy dirt roads of a strange new land, just as they themselves are.
